Housekeeper - Wynberg House & New Farm Parish

The Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Housekeeper to support Wynberg House, a historic residence and hospitality venue in New Farm, along with cleaning support at the nearby New Farm Parish one day per week.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a respected Church environment supporting senior clergy, distinguished guests, and parish activities.
About Wynberg House
Wynberg House is a heritage residence and house of hospitality for senior Church leaders and visiting dignitaries of the Archdiocese. The home regularly hosts visitors, Church events and formal gatherings. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and discretion is essential.
The role will also include one dedicated day per week cleaning and supporting New Farm Parish facilities.
About the Role
Working Tuesday to Saturday, you will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, communal areas and parish facilities to an exceptional standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily servicing and full cleaning of designated guest rooms
- Laundry, ironing and care of vestments and household linen
- General housekeeping across living and communal spaces
- Deep cleaning and maintaining presentation of a historic residence
- Supporting event preparation and pack-down
- Basic front-of-house assistance for hospitality functions (desirable)
- One day per week cleaning New Farm Parish facilities
This role requires initiative, strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a respectful and discreet presence when clergy and guests are in residence.
About You You will bring:
- Proven housekeeping experience in hospitality, private residence or similar setting
- Confidence managing daily room servicing, deep cleaning and laundry independently
- High standards of presentation and attention to detail
- Discretion and professionalism when working around senior clergy and guests
- Flexibility to adapt around events and parish functions
- A collaborative and respectful approach
Experience assisting with hospitality or event service will be highly regarded.
Requirements - National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Blue Card (Working with Children) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday
- Physical capacity to perform cleaning and manual handling duties
