Assistant Coordinator / Educational Leader

6-Month Part-Time Contract
32 hrs/week
Lead with purpose at St Vincent’s OSHC, creating a safe, joyful and inspiring place for children within the St Vincent’s Primary and Surfers Paradise Catholic Parish community.
With a flexible, child-led program, we empower children to explore their interests, grow in confidence and uncover new possibilities daily. Our vibrant, inclusive community embraces diversity and ensures every child feels seen, safe and supported.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader to join our team on a 6-month parental leave contract.
About the Role
In this leadership position, you’ll support the Coordinator with the day-to-day operations of the service and help shape an environment where children can thrive.
You will:
- Assist in planning and delivering a high-quality, inclusive educational program
- Provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for all children
- Work collaboratively with a passionate and supportive team
- Support children’s wellbeing, learning and engagement through a child-led approach
- Take part in ongoing professional and personal development
- Act as the Responsible Person when the Coordinator is absent
- Positively represent the service within the local community
This position includes
three morning shifts per week plus
afternoon shifts each day.
What You’ll Bring - Diploma in Children’s Services/Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Experience in Outside School Hours Care or a similar setting
- Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A genuine passion for creating enriching experiences for children
- Willingness to undertake Child Protection Training as required
