We’re seeking a Casual Educator to join our welcoming team at Star of the Sea Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cleveland.

At Star of the Sea OSHC, we offer before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 45 children in a warm, community-focused setting — and we’re excited to be expanding soon!

A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator:

• Provide nurturing care and support for children
• Be the Responsible Person for your shift on occasion
• Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment
• Plan and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational activities
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Collaborate with a supportive team to achieve the best outcomes for children
• Enjoy the opportunity to attend fun excursions during vacation care

Job Requirements:

• Certificate - Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
