Are you ready to bring your accounting skills to a purpose driven organisation?
The Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Parish Finance Services team, supporting parishes that may not have the resources to manage their own accounting. You'll work closely with Parish Priests and Finance Committees, contributing to the financial stewardship of our communities.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Processing day-to-day accounting transactions including Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Managing banking, debtor payments, and general receipts
• Preparing BAS reports
• Maintaining the general ledger
• Assisting the Senior Accountant with budget preparation
• Preparing Parish accounts for annual reviews

What You'll Bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Commerce
• Experience with MYOB EXO
• Strong understanding of accounting processes
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A willingness to develop influencing skills across stakeholder levels
• Experience in not-for-profit organisations (desirable)
• An understanding of Catholic Church values and teachings (desirable)
