As the Assistant Director and Educational Leader at Good Shepherd Childcare Service and Kindergarten, you'll work alongside the Centre Director to inspire and lead a dedicated team. Together, you’ll champion continuous improvement and cultivate a warm, nurturing environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can grow, explore, and thrive. Located in the heart of Springfield Lakes, our service is proudly embedded in the school and local community.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Director in the day-to-day running of the centre
- Foster high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
- Lead by example and mentor educators in their professional growth
- Build meaningful relationships with families and the local community
- Step into leadership when the Centre Director is away
The Ideal Candidate:
We seek a positive, motivated leader eager to grow and inspire. Essential qualifications and attributes include:
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
- Proven experience in an educational leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team of educators
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach to early childhood education
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, and CPR certification
