About the Role:
Our service has been operating for more than 15 years as part of the Petrie Parish Catholic Community. Our educators embrace an ‘after school care family approach’, meaning that we all care for and look after one another and we have a strong relationship with all children and families.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of engaging programs for children aged 5–12 during before school, after school, and vacation care sessions. You'll create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that fosters learning and development through play.
About You:
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Holds (or willing to obtain) a valid Blue Card, First Aid (including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis), and Child Protection training
- Studying or holding a qualification in Education, Early Childhood, or related field is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework
- Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Support children with behavioural and emotional needs in a respectful and professional manner
Job Requirements
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (ACECQA equivalent) would be desirable
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
