Job Title: Injury Management Advisor
Location: Brisbane CBD (229 Elizabeth Street)
Work Type: Full-Time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

Centacare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Injury Management Advisor to support our dedicated employees across Southeast Queensland. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate injury management and return-to-work plans for staff recovering from work and non-work-related injuries, while supporting injury prevention and workplace wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with the WHS team, managers, and external providers to ensure timely, supportive, and sustainable recovery processes—positively influencing our WorkCover performance and employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage end-to-end workers' compensation and non-work-related injury claims
• Liaise with WorkCover, treating providers, and stakeholders
• Develop and implement return-to-work plans based on medical restrictions
• Coach leaders in injury management and workplace rehabilitation
• Conduct ergonomic workstation assessments and task-based evaluations
• Provide manual handling training and support development of training materials
• Analyse injury data and contribute to WHS strategic planning
• Report on claims trends, risks, and outcomes

What You’ll Bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, allied health, WHS or a related field
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation and return-to-work coordination
• Experience working with medical providers and insurers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in leading training and engaging across all levels of the organisation
• Empathy, discretion, and a collaborative approach
