About the Role

The Catholic “Community of Communities” of Toowong, Indooroopilly, and St Lucia is seeking a capable and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operational, financial, property, and administrative functions of its three active parish communities.

This unique part-time role supports the Parish Priest and leadership teams, ensuring effective coordination of services across multiple church sites, ministries, and a broad range of property and pastoral responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across three parish offices and four church sites
• Lead and supervise parish staff and volunteers
• Oversee finances, budgeting, and reporting with Archdiocesan Finance and ADF
• Coordinate compliance: safeguarding, WHS, and parish policies
• Manage maintenance, leasing, and project work across a large property portfolio
• Support communication with Catholic schools, OSHC services, and community partners
• Drive sustainable operations and long-term planning alongside parish councils

About You

You are a confident and capable leader with the ability to work across complex environments while maintaining a welcoming and service-driven approach.

Essential:

• Proven experience in operations, administration, or parish leadership
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong financial, property or project management experience (must be familiar with MYOB EXO software)
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate multiple responsibilities
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and problem-solving ability

 
Desirable:

• Qualifications in business, management, or finance
• Understanding of Catholic parish life or faith-based organisations
• Blue Card and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Driver’s licence
