Centacare Family and Relationship Services (CFRS)

Centacare Family and Relationship Services (CFRS) is seeking a compassionate, committed, and community-minded individual to join our Kingaroy team as a Support Worker.
About the Role
This role provides identified support services to individuals and families in the communities of Kingaroy, Kingaroy Region (North & South), and Nanango. Within the framework of CFRS’s mission, values, and vision, the Support Worker acts as a key link between community members and the broader network of universal and targeted support services.
You will work collaboratively to develop and deliver person-centred services that respond to the specific needs of our local communities, ensuring access to appropriate supports and pathways for long-term wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver support services to the community in accordance with the Community Connections Service Agreement.
- Organise and facilitate group work, community events and workshops.
- Assist clients to access universal services and refer to more targeted services as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and local stakeholders.
- Accurately record client data, case notes, and reports in line with funding and organisational requirements.
- Actively engage in planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Uphold work health and safety standards and organisational policies.
Essential Criteria - Relevant qualification in community services or a related field and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of contemporary support work practices, particularly in community-based settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage records and administration duties with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a culturally inclusive and professional manner.

- Ability to maintain a child-safe environment and uphold safeguarding practices.
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to undertake relevant training, including child protection, domestic violence, and suicide prevention.
