University Ministry Coordinator – Youth and Young Adults
Permanent Part-Time | 15 hours per week

Our Technology Solutions team plays a critical role in supporting these services, ensuring high-quality IT operations across the Archdiocese.

About the Role

The Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled University Ministry Coordinator to support Catholic outreach to youth and young adults across Brisbane’s university campuses. This permanent part-time role (approximately 2 days/15 hours per week) sits within our Youth and Young Adults team and plays a vital role in building faith-based communities, supporting Catholic clubs and societies, and fostering opportunities for young people to encounter Jesus and live out their discipleship.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with the Newman Society and Catholic residential colleges (e.g. Duchesne & St Leo’s)
• Build and strengthen relationships with Catholic university clubs and societies
• Assist in arranging sacramental life on campus in liaison with clergy
• Deliver engaging faith-based presentations and outreach for young adults
• Leverage social media platforms to connect with students and promote mission activities
• Model authentic Catholic living and foster a culture of missionary discipleship

About You

• A sound understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church
• Experience working with youth or young adults in ministry, education, or community settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and connect
• Event planning, presentation and social media engagement skills
• Competency using Microsoft Office, Canva, and platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a mission-driven team

Desirable Qualifications

• Undergraduate education in theology, communications, education, or related disciplines (desirable, not essential)
