Majella Long Day Care is a warm, community-focused, 85-place Long Day Care service nestled amongst peaceful bushland surrounds. Our service features a brand-new playground, modern learning environments, and a supportive team culture built on strong relationships with children and families.
We are seeking passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Casual Educators to join our team. This is a great opportunity for Educators looking for flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
As a Casual Educator, you will work alongside our dedicated team to provide high-quality care and education while supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
A Day in the Life of a Casual Educator
- Provide high-quality care and education for children across our learning environments.
- Build positive, respectful, and nurturing relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Support play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Encourage children's independence, confidence, curiosity, and social development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, engaging, and welcoming environment.
- Follow all centre policies and procedures, including supervision and child safety requirements.
- Observe and support children's learning and development.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, rest times, toileting, and transitions.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and supportive centre culture.
- Promote the service in line with Catholic Early EdCare's philosophy and values.
- Adapt to different rooms and routines as required.
What We're Looking For - Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA approved) or currently working towards a qualification.
- Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Understanding of early childhood legislation, standards, and quality frameworks.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Completed Child Safety Training certificate.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- A flexible and reliable approach to working across different days and rooms.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and confidently adapt to changing daily needs.
- Completion of Child Safety Courses 1 & 2 (mandatory), Courses 3 & 4 highly regarded.
