Talent & Workforce Coordinator
Catholic Early EdCare | Brisbane | Full-time, Permanent
Make the details count. Make people feel welcome. Help great educators take their next step.
At Catholic Early EdCare (CEEC), the people we hire help shape children's experiences, support families and strengthen communities. A thoughtful, well-organised recruitment process plays an important part in bringing those people on board.
We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who enjoys keeping things moving, building relationships and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Someone who understands that a timely update, a well-prepared offer and a warm welcome can make all the difference.
The opportunity
You'll help coordinate recruitment from application through to onboarding, keeping candidates informed, hiring managers supported and the details under control.
You'll be part of a close-knit recruitment pod comprising a Talent & Workforce Team Leader, Advisor and Coordinator. Working together, you'll share knowledge, support one another and keep recruitment moving smoothly through busy periods.
This is an opportunity to contribute your organisational strengths while building your experience across the recruitment process. It would suit someone who enjoys structure, takes initiative and finds satisfaction in helping others succeed.
Your impact
You'll be a reliable point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, bringing warmth, clarity and consistent follow-through to every interaction.
Alongside the day-to-day coordination, you'll help maintain accurate records, keep track of outstanding actions and identify practical ways to improve how we work. Your contribution will help create a positive hiring experience—not just an efficient process.
What your day might look like
No two days will be quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating interviews and recruitment logistics, keeping candidates and hiring managers informed, prepared and supported throughout the process.
- Preparing offers, employment contracts and recruitment documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Managing job advertisements and supporting candidate screening, helping applications move efficiently through each stage of recruitment.
- Coordinating and following up on multiple pre-employment compliance checks, including Blue Card checks, police checks, qualification verification, reference checks and other required employment documentation.
- Proactively chasing outstanding compliance information and working closely with candidates and hiring managers to ensure all checks are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting onboarding and induction activities, helping new starters feel welcomed and ready for their first day.
- Maintaining our applicant tracking system (ATS), compliance records and recruitment trackers, while assisting with reporting, talent pools and recruitment improvement projects.
What you'll bring You don't need to have worked as a recruiter. Experience in recruitment coordination, HR administration or a similarly busy, people-focused role will give you a strong starting point.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- A warm, confident communication style and the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, colleagues and hiring managers.
- Consistent follow-through — you're comfortable checking in, following up on outstanding actions and keeping recruitment processes moving.
- Strong administrative experience, including manual data entry, managing multiple Excel trackers and keeping records accurate, consistent and up to date.
- Hands-on experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain candidate records, track recruitment progress and support day-to-day coordination.
- Experience working in a highly regulated or compliance-focused industry will be highly regarded.
- Confidence managing pre-employment compliance checks will be essential, as coordinating and following up on required checks and documentation will be one of the primary responsibilities of the role.
