We are seeking a dedicated and organised Educator to join our Springfield Lakes OSHC team, working Part-Time word Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.

This unique role combines hands-on educator responsibilities with food preparation also. Working alongside the Long Day Care Cook in a shared kitchen environment, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious afternoon tea for children attending the service. You will also support children by contributing to the delivery of a safe, engaging and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve afternoon tea for children attending OSHC.
• Complete kitchen clean-up and preparation for the following day's service.
• Develop healthy and child-friendly menus.
• Manage food ordering and stock control.
• engage with children during parts of the afternoon program.
• Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Support children with behavioural and emotional needs in a respectful and professional manner.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential.
• Food Safety Certificate.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
