Located on the grounds of St Pius Catholic Primary School, Banyo, our OSHC service is one of our largest and most established services, delivering before school care, after school care and vacation care to a thriving school community.
As Service Leader, you'll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the
service, lead a dedicated team, build strong relationships with children and families, and foster a culture where both children and educators can thrive.
You'll be supported by a dedicated Regional Manager, and a wrap-around network of subject matter experts across operations, compliance, pedagogy, recruitment and people leadership. With dedicated OSHC facilities and access to a wide range of school resources and spaces, you'll have the tools, support and autonomy to create an exceptional service for children, families and your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.
- Lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring and supporting them to bring out their best.
- Develop and implement innovative, play-based programs that cater to our children's interests and needs.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community, fostering a sense of belonging.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of care and safety.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Experience in the education and care of children (OSHC).
- Child protection training is a requirement for this role
- Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
- Effective workplace communication
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team
