St Peter’s Outside School Hours Care in Caboolture is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic OSHC Coordinator to lead our service and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families and the wider school community.
St Peter’s OSHC has been proudly supporting the Caboolture community since 1990 and operates from a dedicated space within the school grounds. The service provides before school care, after school care and vacation care for up to 135 children from Prep to Year 6.
As a growing OSHC service, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to build on the strong foundations of the service, lead a passionate team and create engaging experiences that support the wellbeing, learning and development of school-aged children.
As the Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the service, develop and oversee engaging educational programs, build strong relationships with children and families, and work collaboratively with the school community.
You will be supported by a dedicated team and Catholic Early EdCare’s wider leadership network to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the OSHC service and ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care.
- Develop, implement and evaluate engaging programs that reflect children's interests, ideas and needs.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, welcoming and nurturing environment for all children.
- Lead, support, mentor and develop a dedicated team of Educators.
- Build strong and positive relationships with children, families, school staff and the wider community.
- Ensure the service operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
- Manage service administration, including rostering, documentation and quality improvement processes.
- Support and maintain strong partnerships with the school community.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
- Provide opportunities for children to participate in fun, engaging experiences and excursions during vacation care.
- Contribute to a positive team culture where educators feel supported, valued and empowered.
Job Requirements - Diploma qualified in Children’s Services or Early Childhood Education (ACECQA equivalent).
- Previous experience in a leadership role within OSHC or the education and care sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Current Child Protection Training.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law and Regulations.
- Experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
