OSHC Coordinator | Ipswich Region
Lead with purpose. Inspire with heart. Belong to something meaningful.
Are you an experienced OSHC leader — or a passionate emerging leader — looking for your next opportunity across the Ipswich region?
We are seeking an exceptional OSHC Coordinator to lead Immaculate Heart OSHC, a thriving and well-established service located in Leichhardt, within the greater Ipswich area.
Licensed for up to 90 children across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care, this is an opportunity to step into a successful service with strong foundations already in place. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team of educators, positive school partnerships and a welcoming community that values connection, inclusion and quality care.
Whether you’re already working in Ipswich or looking for a leadership opportunity within the wider Ipswich region, this role offers the chance to take ownership of a well-established service while continuing to shape its culture, programs and future direction.
As Coordinator, you’ll bring together leadership, relationships and quality practice — supporting your team to thrive while creating meaningful experiences where children feel safe, confident, connected and excited to attend.
Leadership with a strong team behind you.
At Catholic Early EdCare, our Service Leaders are never expected to do it alone.
You’ll be backed by a brilliant and dedicated network of specialist teams, including our Quality A&R Team, Inclusion Team, Employee Relations Team and Recruitment Team.
Whether you need guidance around quality and compliance, specialist inclusion support, assistance with a people matter or help building your team, you’ll have experienced people around you who are invested in your success.
Combined with peer support, leadership development and opportunities to connect with other Service Leaders, you’ll have the guidance and practical support you need to lead with confidence and focus on what matters most — children, families and your team.

Situated within Immaculate Heart School in Leichhardt, the service is an important and trusted part of daily life for children and families.
You’ll have the opportunity to build on an already strong service, bring your own leadership style and ideas, and continue creating an environment where children experience genuine belonging, connection and fun.
This is more than overseeing the daily operation of an OSHC service — it’s an opportunity to lead people, strengthen community relationships and make a lasting impact.

- Build on the service’s strong foundations and continue strengthening relationships with children, families and the school community.
- Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels welcomed, valued and supported.
- Develop meaningful partnerships with children, families, educators, school staff and the parish community.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.
- Ensure the service operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and quality standards.
- Champion continuous improvement and bring new ideas that enhance the experiences of children and families.
- Support programs that reflect children’s interests, voices, strengths and individual needs.
- Foster a positive team culture built on collaboration, belonging and shared accountability.
- Lead with confidence while knowing specialist support and guidance are always within reach.
What you'll bring We’re looking for someone who combines strong leadership capability with a genuine passion for children, people and community.
You will have:
- A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification in accordance with ACECQA requirements.
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- The ability and willingness to provide consent to act as the Nominated Supervisor.
- Current completion, or willingness to complete prior to commencement, of mandatory National Child Training via Geckko.
- A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place.
- Previous experience leading or managing a childcare or OSHC service.
- Current child protection training, or the ability to meet this requirement prior to commencement.
- Confidence using childcare management systems, with Xplor experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate and support a team.
