We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Educator to join our team at St Agatha's Outside School Hours Care in a permanent part-time role. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, qualified, and experienced educator who is ready to step up into a Responsible Person (RP) role — helping to run the service on a day-to-day basis and providing genuine leadership to our team.
At St Agatha's OSHC, we provide before school, after school, and vacation care for up to 75 children from Prep to Year 6. We're looking for someone who brings energy, commitment, and genuine passion for creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

About the Role:
- Permanent part-time position, ideally across 4 days per week (minimum 20 hours)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the childcare or OSHC industry is required
- Opportunity to step up as Responsible Person (RP), taking an active role in leading and running the service
- Demonstrated ability to support and help lead a team is essential
- Clear pathway to increased responsibility and a Responsible Person (RP) role for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities: - Work with children to create fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences that support their wellbeing
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
- Step up as Responsible Person (RP) to help lead and run the service, supporting the team with confidence and professionalism
- Support and help lead team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's expectations and educational philosophy
- Participate actively in professional and personal development
Job Requirements: - Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent — essential for this role
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in the childcare or OSHC industry
- Confidence and readiness to step into a Responsible Person (RP) role, taking a hands-on leadership position in the day-to-day running of the service
- Availability across at least 4 days per week is ideal
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and child protection qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
- A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
- Effective workplace communication skills
