Majella Long Day Care - Chermside West
Majella is a warm, community-focused, 85-place Long Day Care service set amongst peaceful bushland surrounds and features a brand-new playground, modern learning environments, and a supportive team culture with strong family connections.
We are seeking passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Educators to join our team. In this role, you will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children while helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and families. Availability: Full-time availability is desirable, however, open to part-time or casual applicants as well.
A Day in the Life of an Educator
- Provide high-quality care and education for children within the Junior Kindy room.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Support the planning and implementation of play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Encourage children's independence, confidence, and social development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Follow all centre policies and procedures, including supervision and child safety requirements.
- Observe and document children's learning and development.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, rest times, toileting, and transitions.
- Work collaboratively with the team to support a positive centre culture
- Promote the service in line with Catholic Early EdCare’s philosophy and values
Job Requirements - Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or ACECQA approved) or working towards
- Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Understanding of early childhood legislation, standards, and quality frameworks
- A genuine passion for supporting children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten in a play-based learning setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Completed Child Safety Training certificate
- Current First aid and CPR Certificate
