Head of OSHC Operations
Paddington, Brisbane | Full-Time | Permanent
Leadership at Scale. Purpose at Heart.
It is a senior leadership position where performance, quality, and purpose meet.
At Catholic Early EdCare, we operate one of Queensland's largest OSHC networks. Every afternoon and every school holiday, thousands of children walk into our services. They deserve programs that are safe, engaging, well-led and sustainable.
We are now seeking a Head of OSHC Operations to lead this portfolio into its next stage of maturity and growth.
The Role — In Real Terms
You will hold accountability for the end-to-end operational performance of our OSHC network — including quality, compliance, financial sustainability, and leadership capability.
But this role is not about driving numbers at the expense of purpose.
It is about ensuring:
- Programs are genuinely engaging and developmentally meaningful.
- Families trust the consistency and reliability of our services.
- Regional Managers feel clear in expectations and supported in growth.
- Performance and quality move forward together
You will lead Regional Managers with clarity and direction — and you will also invest in their development, succession, and capability uplift.
Accountability matters here. So does leadership growth.
What You Will Shape You will oversee:
- Utilisation, attendance, and long-term service sustainability
- Labour discipline and financial health
- Regulatory integrity and NQF performance
- Continuous uplift in program standards
- Leadership capability across the OSHC network
- Family satisfaction and community confidence
You will translate organisational priorities into practical operational execution.
And you will ensure that performance frameworks strengthen — not replace — child-centred practice.
The Balance We are Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that:
Commercial discipline protects quality. Quality protects children. Strong leadership protects both.
You will bring: - 8-10+ years of senior multi-site operational leadership experience
- A strong understanding of OSHC and the NQF
- A track record of improving performance in complex service networks.
- Financial and workforce optimisation experience
- The ability to interpret data and turn it into action.
But equally important:
- You develop leaders, not just measure them.
- You bring calm authority rather than sharp edges.
- You see performance as something built with people, not imposed on them.
How You Will Lead You will:
- Set clear expectations and structured performance rhythms.
- Coach and elevate Regional Managers
- Visit services to understand context, not just audit outcomes.
- Identify improvement opportunities and follow through to stability.
- Partner closely with Support Office teams to execute change well.
This is a role that blends clarity with care.
Why CEEC? We are a not-for-profit organisation. Children sit at the centre of every decision.
We are ambitious about growth — but never at the expense of safety or quality.
You will join:
- A collaborative Senior Leadership Team
- A structured governance environment
- Clear operational frameworks
- A culture that values both results and relationships
We reinvest in our services, facilities, and people — and expect our leaders to do the same.
What's On Offer - Collaborative and supportive team
- Up to 95% staff discount on early education and care fees
- Your birthday off - because it should be yours
- Quarterly Wellness Days and regular team connection activities
- Access to retail discounts and novated leasing options
- Option to include a company vehicle as part of your package
- Excellent salary and benefits
- Modern Paddington office with free on-site parking
The Real Question Are you ready to move from managing operations to elevating them?
If you are a commercially capable OSHC leader who believes performance and purpose belong together, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
