Vacation Care Manager
Catholic Early EdCare | Queensland
Vacation Care doesn't succeed by chance. It succeeds by design.
Vacation Care is one of the most complex components of OSHC.
Short delivery windows. High expectations from families. Significant financial exposure. Multiple suppliers. Hundreds of operational decisions.
When it works well, it feels simple. Behind the scenes, it rarely is.
Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a Vacation Care Manager to take ownership of how Vacation Care is designed, priced, planned, documented, and delivered across a large, multi-site OSHC network.
This is a design, commercial, and operational leadership role.
The Purpose of the Role
This role exists to answer one central question:
How do we deliver Vacation Care programs that children love, families trust, services can run smoothly, and the organisation can sustain?
To do this, you will:
- Design Vacation Care program frameworks and delivery models
- Build and continuously improve operational processes, timelines, and documentation
- Apply strong commercial thinking to pricing, costs, margins, and overall value
- Manage vendors, suppliers, incursions, excursions, and contracts
- Lead dozens of small projects simultaneously — calmly and methodically
- Reduce friction for services while increasing consistency and efficiency
- Bring structure to complexity and clarity to delivery
Who This Role Is For Experience in OSHC or Vacation Care is
highly valued, but
not essential.
We are seeking candidates who have led
children-focused programs or events at scale and understand the discipline required to deliver high-quality experiences repeatedly and reliably.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
- Vacation Care or school holiday program management
- Children's event management (large-scale or multi-site)
- Conference or event operations with complex logistics and tight timelines
- Commercial or operational roles supporting program delivery
- Marketing-led program design roles with accountability for uptake and engagement
What matters most is your ability to:
- Design structured programs that appeal to children and families
- Manage budgets, suppliers, and commercial constraints with confidence
- Build processes, documentation, and timelines others can rely on
- Deliver consistently across multiple locations
- Balance creativity with operational and financial discipline
- Turn complexity into structure
This role suits someone who thrives where
program design, logistics, and commercial reality intersect — and who enjoys bringing order to complexity.
