About the Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a permanent full-time Assistant Coordinator at Our Lady of Lourdes in Sunnybank.
We provide before school care and after school care for up to 120 children and have been operating for more than 20 years in close partnership with the school.
If you are an Assistant Coordinator with Educational Leader experience who is self-motivated, has a passion to support primary school aged children’s well-being, learning and personal development, and you are committed to see them learn in a happy and safe environment, we want to hear from you.
We provide quality care for all children attending our centres. Staff are encouraged to assist in furthering children’s learning through intentional teaching and positive interactions.
Hours: 38 hours per week (full-time)
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:
- Program planning, delivery and documentation
- Staff rostering and supervision
- Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
- Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare
Job Requirements: - Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Experience in the education and care of children
- Effective computer skills including experience with child care management software (Xplor preferred)
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
