NQS Quality Specialist Brisbane | Full-Time | Permanent\
At Catholic Early EdCare quality is not event-based, nor driven by compliance cycles. It is embedded in everyday practice, in leadership decision-making, pedagogical documentation, educator interactions and partnerships with children and families.
We are seeking an experienced NQS Quality Specialist to strengthen, safeguard and elevate the integrity of our internal Assessment and Rating (A&R) assurance practices across our network of services.
This is not a compliance administration role. It is a high-trust, capability building, assurance focused specialist position with strategic influence.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will operate as a subject matter expert on the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
You will:
- Strengthen the consistency and credibility of internal Assessment & Rating processes
- Provide expert interpretation of the NQS across diverse services
- Translate quality data and insights into practical, actionable improvement strategies
- Elevate professional capability across a geographically dispersed workforce
Your work will directly shape how services understand and enact quality as a standard of practice aligned to child outcomes.
What You'll Be Responsible For Strengthening Assurance & Consistency - Review internal A&R documentation and ratings for accuracy and reliability
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure fair, transparent and evidence informed assessments
- Refine tools, guidance materials and reporting frameworks to enhance clarity and integrity
- Support calibration of professional judgement across the network
Building Capability - Coach and guide NQS Partners and leaders to strengthen interpretation and decision making
- Develop learning resources that translate regulatory language into observable, practice-based indicators
- Collaborate closely with the Practice Excellence Manager to uplift internal confidence, competence and a shared understanding of quality expectations
National Insight & Strategic Influence - Analyse patterns, trends and emerging risks across services
- Identify systemic quality gaps and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to regulatory engagement and sector advocacy
- Inform CEEC's broader quality strategy through evidence based insights

You'll bring to the table: Essential - Deep working knowledge of the NQF, National Law and Regulations
- Strong experience in Assessment & Rating processes
- Experience as a Regional Manager or Senior Leader with strong Assessment & Rating experience, or
- Experience as a quality consultant working across multi-site education services
- Relevant Qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the NQS with clarity and consistently across diverse service contexts
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate insights effectively
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate complexity and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Confidence influencing leaders and translating insight into measurable improvement actions
- Experience operating across dispersed teams and multiple stakeholders
Desirable - Experience in quality assurance
- Experience working with regulators or/and regulatory aligned frameworks
