Inclusion Guidance Support Officer
Catholic Early EdCare (CEEC)
Brisbane / Queensland | Full-Time | Permanent
Because inclusion isn't a policy — it's a daily practice.
Catholic Early EdCare is looking for a compassionate, practical, and experienced Inclusion Guidance Support Officer to work alongside our Centre Directors and educators in supporting children with additional needs across our early education and OSHC services.
This is a hands-on, people-facing role — supporting children, guiding educators, partnering with families, and helping services create environments where every child can belong, participate, and thrive.
What this role is really about
This role exists to answer one simple but important question:
How do we best support children with additional needs — in real centres, with real teams, and real families?
You will:
- Work directly with Centre Directors and educators to support inclusive practice
- Provide guidance, strategies, and practical support for children with additional needs
- Partner with families, listening first and working collaboratively - Support services navigating funding, referrals, and inclusion planning
- Act as a trusted point of advice — not an auditor or enforcer - Help build confidence and capability in teams, not dependency
This is not a desk role. It's a role built on relationships, trust, and presence.
Success in this role will be measured through strengthened educator capability, high-quality inclusive support planning, proactive early intervention outcomes, strong community partnerships and consistent safeguarding and compliance across services.
Who this role suits
We're open to candidates from a range of care and support backgrounds. You might come from:
- A similar inclusion or support role in early education
- The NDIS sector
- Child protection, family support, or residential care
- Disability, community, or wellbeing services
What matters most is your ability to:
- Work respectfully with children and families
- Support educators with practical, achievable strategies
- Navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Balance advocacy with realism
- Stay calm, thoughtful, and solutions-focused
A
degree in Community Services, Education, Disability, or a related field is desirable — but not essential if you bring strong relevant experience.
