About Our Lady of Lourdes OSHC
Located within the grounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School and proudly part of the Sunnybank Parish community, our service has been supporting local families for over 20 years.
Licensed to care for up to 120 children, we provide before school care, after school care and vacation care in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Our programs are child-led and interest-based, reflecting each child’s culture, strengths and ideas while encouraging independence, creativity and confidence. We actively promote belonging, wellbeing and cultural inclusion across our service community.
A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator
- Provide warm, nurturing care that supports each child’s wellbeing and development
- Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children thrive
- Plan and lead fun, educational and recreational activities for diverse interests
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and team members
- Work collaboratively within a supportive, passionate team
- Join exciting excursions during vacation care

What Makes a Great Educator for Our Team: - Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services or equivalent desirable but not essential.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
- Willingness to take Child Protection Training as required
