We’re seeking a Casual Educator to join our welcoming team at Star of the Sea Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cleveland.

At Star of the Sea OSHC, we provide before school care, after school care and vacation care for up to 45 children in a warm, community-focused setting — and we’re excited to be expanding soon!

A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator

• Provide nurturing care and meaningful support for children
• Step into the Responsible Person role on occasion
• Create a safe, secure and welcoming environment
• Plan and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational activities
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, passionate team
• Enjoy exciting excursions during vacation care
• Finish each day knowing you’ve made a genuine difference in children’s lives

Job Requirements:

• Certificate - Diploma in Children Services or equivalent highly regarded but not essential.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
