Casual Educators – St Oliver Plunkett OSHC (Cannon Hill)

Since 2003, St Oliver Plunkett Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cannon Hill has proudly supported our school community, delivering high-quality before school, after school and vacation care for up to 195 children.

We provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children enjoy a wide range of age-appropriate experiences—from active outdoor play to creative projects and life-skills development.

We’re currently seeking Casual Educators to join our friendly and welcoming team. This role is ideal for someone studying education or a related field, or anyone looking to gain valuable hands-on experience while making a positive difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging recreational and educational experiences that support children’s well-being and development.
• Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Work collaboratively within an experienced team to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
• Participate in professional and personal development opportunities.
• Represent and promote the service in line with Catholic Early EdCare’s values and educational philosophy.

About You:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace  
• Willingness to take Child Protection Training as required
