About Us
St Sebastian’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is a welcoming, close-knit part of the St Sebastian’s Parish and Primary School community. We care for up to 60 children and pride ourselves on building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families.
Our programs are fun, engaging and high-quality, offered across before school care, after school care and vacation care. Children enjoy a wide range of experiences including gardening, painting, sports, cooking, role-play and more—there’s always something exciting happening.
The Role We’re seeking enthusiastic and energetic Casual Educators to join our friendly team. Reporting to the Coordinator, you will:
- Support primary school-aged children in a safe, happy and engaging environment
- Deliver creative, fun and developmentally appropriate activities
- Help foster a nurturing, inclusive community where children can learn, grow and thrive

Job Requirements:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
