About the Opportunity
At St Ita’s OSHC, we provide before school, after school and vacation care for up to 105 primary school-aged children. We’re seeking enthusiastic, energetic Casual Educators who are passionate about supporting children to grow, develop and have fun in a safe, happy and engaging environment.
Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming space while delivering interactive, enjoyable activities that inspire children every day.
Our Centre
Our well-appointed, stand-alone centre sits at the heart of the school and enjoys strong connections with both the school and local community. Conveniently located near the train station, close to the University of Queensland, and with a bus stop right at the school, getting to work is easy.
A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator
- Provide warm, nurturing care in a safe, secure and welcoming environment

Job Requirements:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services or equivalent highly regarded, but not essential.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
- A passion for the education in a play-based learning environment.
- Effective workplace communication skills
- willingness to undertake training as required
