Materials Coordinator | Abingdon | £32,000pa - £35,000pa plus benefits:
A growing specialist manufacturer of scientific instrumentation is looking to hire Materials Coordinator to join their small specialist team. This Materials Coordinator role will play an important part of managing the company's materials inventory, checking of incoming components and parts, and managing the companies MRP system.
If you enjoy being busy and hands on with materials and inventory, then this Materials Coordinator role will suit you perfectly. Typical duties for the Materials Coordinator:
- Goods inwards documentation processing, goods checking and acceptance of deliveries to stock and updating companies MRP System.
- Receiving components from suppliers, ensuring all received stock is undamaged and accurately accounted for.
- Safe storage of goods into stock locations.
- Kitting of stock to work orders and updating the Company MRP system.
- Monitoring of stock levels. Complete stock takes/cycle counts as required maintaining the Company MRP system.
- Packaging of components/assemblies ready for collection or dispatch.
- Management of consumable stock and raise purchase requests as required.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure timely kitting of parts.
- Adhere to established Company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
Our client is looking for a
Materials Coordinator who ideally has worked within a high tech manufacturer and possess some of the following skills:
- Strong IT Skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- An understanding of Health & Safety including the handling of chemicals.
- Full clean driving license is preferred but not essential,
- Use of measuring equipment (Vernier calipers & micrometers, although training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Some understanding of ISO 9001:2015 would be desirable.
- Some understanding of technical drawings would be an advantage.
Our client operates a flexible start and finish times, but you need to work core hours of 9am-3pm. They offer 25 days holiday plus bank holiday, pension, death in service and a discretional annual bonus.
