We are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for ongoing roles across multiple Bowen Basin mine sites. Based in Mackay, our client is a trusted contractor delivering maintenance, rebuilds and field service support for heavy mobile plant across the mining and civil sectors.

With a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability and team culture, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced Diesel Fitters seeking stable, long-term work.

The Role
You will provide maintenance and field service support across Bowen Basin mine sites, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and inspections on heavy mobile plant.

Roles are available on a 7:7, 2:1, 3:1 rotating day/night roster, with limited dayshift-only positions also available. Flexible opportunities may include embedded site roles or floating work across multiple mine sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, servicing and repairs on heavy mobile plant
• Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems
• Maintenance, rebuild and field service support
• Working safely within site-based teams
• Maintaining compliance with site and safety standards
• Completing quality workmanship and accurate maintenance documentation

About You

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment
• Experience with mining, civil or mobile plant equipment
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and quality workmanship
• Current Driver's License
• Ability to work across Bowen Basin mine sites as required
