We are seeking an experienced HV Electrician with electric drive truck experience to join our client’s team in Mackay.
 
This is primarily a workshop-based position, with approximately 75% of the role based in the Mackay workshop, with the successful candidate also providing field service coverage as required.
 
The Role
 
You will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding and electrical work associated with large electric drive mining equipment, predominantly within the Mackay workshop.
 
When required, you will also provide field service support and coverage to the wider team.
 
Experience with Komatsu 830E and 930E electric drive trucks is highly desirable, with experience on equivalent equipment such as Liebherr, CAT or Hitachi also considered.
 
What We're Looking For

• HV Electrician or Cert III in Electrotechnology
• HV Switching – Statement of Attainment
• Appropriate licenses and tickets to perform high-risk work
• Demonstrated experience maintaining Komatsu 830E / 930E electric drive trucks or equivalent
• Experience with Liebherr, CAT, Hitachi or similar heavy mining equipment highly regarded
• Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively across both workshop and field service environments
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
