Their core service offering includes fully maintained mining fleets, dry hire/customer-maintained fleets, and short and long-term rental solutions supporting major mining operations nationwide.
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at Tarrawonga Mine in the Gunnedah Basin.
This is a permanent site-based role offering a strong work-life balance with a 9-day fortnight and company vehicle supplied.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the NSW State Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective maintenance management of approximately 25 heavy mining assets, including:
- CAT Dump Trucks
- CAT Dozers
- CAT Graders
You will lead day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure maximum fleet availability, reliability and compliance while building strong relationships with site stakeholders and maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage all maintenance activities across the allocated mining fleet
- Drive fleet reliability, availability and operational performance
- Lead and mentor maintenance supervisors, tradespeople and contractors
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with statutory and company requirements
- Oversee preventative maintenance strategies and breakdown management
- Monitor maintenance costs, labour utilisation and equipment performance
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships onsite
- Coordinate shutdowns, component change-outs and major repairs
- Ensure accurate maintenance reporting, planning and scheduling outcomes
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
About You: To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Extensive experience managing heavy mining equipment maintenance operations
- Strong knowledge of CAT mining equipment, particularly dump trucks, dozers and graders
- Proven leadership experience within mining or heavy earthmoving environments
- Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline (preferred)
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning and asset management principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence
- Ability to work autonomously and drive team performance
