Job Summary:
Ground Works Land Design is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Projects Foreman to help lead the delivery of luxury, high-end residential and commercial landscape and hardscape projects. This person will lead a team, assisting the hardscape crews with the landscaping portion of bigger projects – including patios, retaining, and fireplaces/pits, and outdoor kitchens. This is a great position for someone with strong experience in both hardscape and softscape construction, a sharp eye for detail, and a deep pride in their craft. Pay Range: $22.00 - $32.00 an hour (contingent on experience)

Duties/Responsibilities: - Lead a landscaping crew to complete luxury residential and commercial projects with precision and professionalism.
- Interpret and work from blueprints and site plans to install landscaping beds, plants, mulch, trees, sod, boulders, decorative stone, edging, and more.
- Ensure all plantings are installed to design specifications and horticultural best practices.
- Collaborate with hardscape crews to integrate softscape elements around patios, retaining walls, fire features, and outdoor kitchens.
- Communicate with project managers and occasionally clients to provide updates or address issues.
- Oversee site preparation, including grading, soil prep, and trenching, to ensure proper drainage and planting conditions.
- Coordinate material deliveries and placement of soils, mulch, rock, plant material, and other landscape supplies.
- Monitor all work for quality, accuracy, and overall appearance, performing final walkthroughs and addressing any deficiencies.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of landscaping tools and small equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site and enforce company safety protocols at all times.
- Train and mentor crew members in landscaping techniques, site prep, plant care, and finishing work.
- Set the tone for professionalism, efficiency, and pride in craftsmanship on every project.
- On-Call for snow removal during winter hours
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience: - *REQUIRED* Valid Driver’s license with minimal incidents or points in the last 3 years
- 3 years of relevant landscaping installation experience required
- Has an advanced knowledge of plants, pruning, lawn and landscape bed maintenance, spring and fall clean up
- Experience with blueprints, building planting beds, installing plants, lawns, trees, boulders, and installing mulch in planting beds.
- Irrigation and low voltage lighting experience is preferred
- Can proficiently operate a variety of landscaping and construction equipment
- Able to work successfully with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Physical Requirements: - Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Able to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders for periods of time
- Able to stand for long periods of time
