We’re looking for an apprentice carpenter (ideally 3rd or 4th year) to join a locally based construction company who work across a range of light commercial, schools, renovations and residential projects.

In this role you will be working alongside experienced builders on projects, gaining valuable on-site experience while contributing to a hardworking and supportive team.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Learn on the job across a range of projects from commercial to residential
• Support and work well with Site Foreman and team using initiative to complete deliverables
• Maintain high levels of health and Safety, promoting a good culture for our team
• Ensure quality of product and QA of work, maintaining a positive relationship with a variety of clients

To be successful in this role we require:

• Proven experience working as a builder in New Zealand, with experience across a range of work, light commercial, residential and remedial
• Familiarity with New Zealand building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Positive work ethic and attitude, someone who adds to the work environment
• Driver’s license, reliable transport and the ability to work in NZ.
