We’re looking for a Qualified Builder to join a locally based construction company who work across a range of light commercial, remedial and residential projects.

In this role you will supervise a small team around you, helping support and grow our apprentices. You will engage with clients too, so we are looking for someone with strong communication and leadership skills. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Job allocation and support of apprentices, with a focus on growing their career.
• Working with the client and the Project Manager to interpret site plans, report on progress and ensure transparency of the build
• Maintain high levels of health and Safety, promoting a good culture for our team
• Ensure quality of product and QA of work, maintaining a positive relationship with a variety of client

To be successful in this role we require:

• Proven experience working as a builder in New Zealand, with experience across a range of work, light commercial, residential and remedial
• Experience leading and supporting Apprentices, helping guide and nurture careers
• Familiarity with New Zealand building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Positive work ethic and attitude, someone who adds to the work environment
• Driver’s license, reliable transport and the ability to work in NZ.
