Future Skills Organisation is looking for a Data Engineer to build and evolve the modern cloud data platform that powers analytics, reporting and AI across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to build more than pipelines.
You'll create the data foundations that enable smarter decisions, support nationally significant workforce initiatives and accelerate the organisation's future AI capability.
Working with technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python and dbt, you'll design scalable, production-ready data solutions that make trusted data available across the business.
You will:
- Design and build modern cloud-based data platforms and pipelines.
- Develop ETL and transformation processes using SQL, Python and dbt.
- Create reusable, AI-ready data products and semantic models.
- Deliver reliable datasets for reporting, analytics and machine learning.
- Improve governance, documentation and data quality.
- Partner closely with our Lead Data Scientist, analysts and business stakeholders.
- Apply modern engineering practices including GitHub, DevOps and AI-assisted development tools.

About you
You're an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building scalable solutions that others rely on.
You care about quality, governance and creating data platforms that are both robust and easy to use.
You'll likely bring experience with: - Modern cloud data engineering
- Snowflake and/or Databricks
- SQL, Python and dbt
- Azure cloud services
- Data modelling, ETL and warehouse design
- GitHub, DevOps and CI/CD
- Data governance and metadata management
- Supporting analytics, reporting and dashboard solutions
You're collaborative, practical and enjoy working with people across technical and business teams.
