We’re hiring: Customer Activation Manager - New Zealand
This role sits at the intersection of Shopper Marketing, Sales and Category - turning strategy into activation that works in the real world.
You’ll own the development and execution of customer activation programs across New Zealand, ensuring they are practical, commercially effective, and tailored to different channels and store environments.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on execution, understands retail realities, and can turn plans into impact at shelf and across the path to purchase
What you’ll be doing
● Bringing shopper and customer strategy to life through impactful customer-ready activation programs
● Owning the end-to-end delivery of activation, from concept and mechanics through to execution and evaluation
● Executing digital and omnichannel activation, including retail media, loyalty and emerging platforms
● Partnering with customers to ensure programs are effective and tailored to channel realities
● Working cross-functionally to deliver aligned, executable activation across Sales, Category and Marketing
● Identifying and solving execution challenges to improve in-store and in-market performance
● Tracking performance and applying learnings to optimise future activation and
investment
● Ensuring strong governance, tracking and delivery of activation spend and outcomes

What we’re looking for
● Experience in shopper activation, retail media, trade marketing or digital activation (ideally FMCG)
● Proven ability to develop and execute practical, customer-led activation programs
● Strong understanding of shopper behaviour across different channels and missions
● Experience working across multiple retail channels (grocery, independents, P&C or similar
● Commercial awareness with the ability to connect activation to brand and
business outcomes
● Strong organisational skills - able to manage multiple programs in a fast-paced environment
● A collaborative approach - able to work cross-functionally and build strong
relationships
● Detail-oriented, proactive and focused on continuous improvement
