The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to sit at the center of Australia’s national skills reform. Working closely with the CEOs of all ten Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs), you’ll play a key role in connecting the system — aligning priorities, integrating policy thinking and helping shape how the network operates collectively.

This is not a traditional policy role, and it’s not administrative.
It’s an Integrator role — bringing people, policy and priorities together.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Aligning cross-JSC priorities and supporting delivery of a shared strategic plan
• Integrating policy thinking across councils and coordinating system-wide responses
• Compiling high-quality submissions, advice and briefing materials
• Engaging directly with JSC CEOs and senior government stakeholders
• Supporting governance forums and ensuring clear, consistent communication across the network
• Help to amplify the narrative and impact of the JSC program nationally

• Strong understanding of policy environments and reform processes
• Experience integrating multiple inputs into clear, cohesive outputs
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders (incl. CEO level)
• Ability to influence, align and drive momentum without formal authority
• Excellent judgement and ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
• Experience in the VET or skills system is highly regarded.
