Invisible Partners is proud to be representing VMIA.
VMIA is the Victorian Government’s insurer and risk adviser, covering hospitals, schools, emergency services, cultural institutions, and infrastructure. Its purpose is clear and compelling: building a confident, resilient Victoria through world-leading harm prevention and recovery.
Working here means more than handling claims — it means influencing outcomes that strengthen the public sector, improve safety, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used thoughtfully. It’s meaningful work with a real impact on the community.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Claims Specialist in VMIA’s Medical Indemnity team, you’ll manage a portfolio of complex, high-impact claims that often sit at the intersection of healthcare, law and community trust. Your expertise will support recovery for those affected, while influencing safer practices in Victoria’s public health system.
This is a role where you’ll bring both technical knowledge and emotional intelligence. You’ll guide clients compassionately through the claims process, manage sensitive and often complex medical negligence or duty-of-care cases, and lead by example — sharing your expertise to mentor colleagues and lift capability across the team.
