Washington, CT | Full-Time | $150,000-$200,000 DOE + Generous Benefits
 
An exciting opportunity to join a growing private farm in Washington, CT and play a key role in shaping its future.
 
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Farm Operations Manager who can lead people, manage day-to-day operations, and bring new projects and ideas to life. This is an ideal role for an experienced farm professional who loves both agriculture and problem-solving and is comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on work.
 
What You'll Do
 
Lead daily farm operations, including greenhouses, livestock, equipment, and property
Manage and develop farm staff
Oversee animal care, including goats, poultry, and guardian dogs
Manage greenhouse systems, irrigation, and climate control
Lead construction and property improvement projects
Develop and improve operational systems, policies, and processes
Oversee farm supplies, equipment, maintenance, and purchasing
Implement biosecurity, pest, disease, and risk-management protocols
Work closely with the owners to expand and improve the farm
 
What We're Looking For
 
5-10+ years of farm management or agricultural operations experience
Strong leadership and project-management skills
Experience with greenhouse systems, irrigation, livestock, and farm equipment
Hands-on, mechanically inclined, and an excellent problem solver
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Strong communication skills and sound judgment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
 
Experience in sustainable/regenerative agriculture, construction, landscaping, or infrastructure development is a plus.
 
Compensation & Benefits
 
$150,000-$200,000 annually, depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package including employer-paid health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) with employer match.
