Experienced Spanish-Speaking Nanny Needed | West Village, NYC | Two Children
A warm and busy West Village family is seeking an experienced, engaging, and proactive nanny to care for their two children, ages 6 and 2. The ideal candidate is a native Spanish speaker with a strong background in child development and a genuine passion for fostering children's emotional, social, and educational growth.
Schedule

• Monday-Friday: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Additional weekend support as needed
• Family guarantees and pays for a full 40-hour workweek, even if all hours are not regularly worked
• Candidate should be flexible and available to stay later for occasional date nights, evening events, and other family needs
• Children attend school until approximately 2:30 PM daily; however, the nanny must be available to work full days when school is closed for holidays, breaks, sick days, or other scheduled closures

Compensation & Benefits

• $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience
• Health insurance stipend provided
• Guaranteed 40-hour work week

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and developmentally appropriate care for both children
• Support school pickups, after-school activities, and daily routines
• Foster a Spanish-speaking environment within the home
• Plan creative, engaging, and age-appropriate activities
• Accompany the children to local parks, sports, swimming, and enrichment activities
• Collaborate closely with parents to maintain consistency and structure within the household
• Assist in maintaining a peaceful, respectful, and positive home environment

Ideal Candidate

• Native Spanish speaker (required)
• Background in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field strongly preferred
• Experience caring for toddlers and school-aged children
• Skilled at setting healthy boundaries and guiding behavior through positive reinforcement, redirection, emotional validation, and age-appropriate communication
• Able to confidently navigate toddler emotions and developmental stages without relying on bribery or excessive rewards
• Team-oriented, flexible, and professional
• Active and energetic personality

The family's oldest child is highly creative and enjoys outdoor play, swimming, jiu-jitsu, and exploring the city. The ideal nanny will enjoy participating in these activities and encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Additional Requirements

• Must be a confident swimmer
• Driver's license preferred; driving experience is a significant plus for family travel to the Hamptons and other destinations
• Must be travel-ready and available to accompany the family approximately 2-3 times per year
• Valid work authorization and excellent references required
