We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private residence. This individual will be responsible for managing household staff, organizing systems and processes, and ensuring the home runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard at all times.
This role requires a strong leader who can bring structure, accountability, and professionalism to an existing household environment that currently lacks organization and clear management.
Key Responsibilities:
-Household Operations Management
-Oversee all day-to-day operations of the residence
-Create and implement systems, protocols, and procedures for efficient household management
-Ensure the home is consistently maintained to a high standard
-Staff Management
-Supervise and coordinate household staff (including housekeeper, chef, and animal caretaker)
-Manage scheduling, responsibilities, and performance expectations
-Serve as the primary point of contact for all staff and external vendors
-Foster a professional, respectful, and structured work environment
-Financial & Administrative Oversight
-Track, organize, and manage all household expenses
-Maintain detailed records, budgets, and reporting systems
-Handle bill payments, vendor invoices, and expense reconciliation
-Vendor & Project Coordination
-Coordinate and oversee external vendors (yard maintenance, AV technicians, pet services, etc.)
-Ensure work is completed properly, on time, and within budget
-Negotiate contracts and manage service relationships
-Property & Asset Management
-Oversee maintenance and care of all vehicles (servicing, cleaning, scheduling, etc.)
-Ensure all property systems and equipment are functioning properly
-Anticipate and proactively address maintenance needs
-Organization & Systems Implementation
-Establish clear workflows, communication channels, and accountability structures
-Bring order and clarity to all aspects of household operations
-Continuously improve systems for efficiency and ease of management
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or similar role in a private residence
-Strong leadership and staff management skills
-Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
-Experience managing household budgets and expenses
-Ability to create and implement systems from the ground up
-Professional, discreet, and highly reliable
-Strong communication skills and ability to handle a variety of personalities
-Hands-on, proactive mindset with attention to detail
