Farm Hand  (Dog Training Experience Preferred)
Danbury, CT
Schedule: 32 hours per week
Pay: $27 - 30  per hour w/benefits
Days: Wednesday-Sunday or Saturday-Wednesday
Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Farm Hand to support daily operations on a private farm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with animals, and takes pride in maintaining land, facilities, and routines. Candidates with dog handling or training experience are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
-Daily care and maintenance of the farm property and grounds
-Feeding, handling, and caring for dogs and other animals as needed
-Supporting basic dog training, reinforcement, and structured routines (preferred)
-Cleaning and maintaining animal areas, barns, sheds, and equipment
-Assisting with light farm tasks such as organizing supplies, minor repairs, and general upkeep
-Monitoring animal health and behavior and reporting any concerns
-Supporting special projects and seasonal needs as they arise
Ideal candidate:
-Has prior farm, ranch, or property maintenance experience
-Brings dog handling and/or training experience (professional or hands-on)
-Is physically capable of outdoor work in varying weather conditions
-Is dependable, proactive, and able to work independently
-Comfortable following established routines while adapting to daily needs
-Has a positive attitude and respect for animals, property, and privacy
Additional details:
-Position offers 20-32 hours weekly, depending on benefit needs
-Schedule flexibility between Wednesday-Sunday or Saturday-Wednesday
-Competitive hourly rate of $25-$27 based on experience
