Job Description: 

• Teach the children to speak, read, and write Mandarin through formal instruction and casual conversation in the home.
• Assist with the children's schedule (the other nanny will oversee and create, so this will only be to assist and provide support)
• Help plan playdates and outings, indoor/outdoor play and educational activities and crafts a s well birthday parties
• Accompany children to planned activities and appointments and help with school pick up and drop off as needed
• Organize children's areas and other services related to their safety and supervision
• Create a safe and stimulating environment based on their individual and current needs 
• Assist with family weekend errands and purchases for the children
• Discipline the children in a nurturing and kind way 
• Communicate with parents about their days, hardships, and positive experiences 
• Provide short daily notes to parents on weekend activities including highlights or issues 
• Travel with the family as needed

 
Salary and benefits:

• Salary based on experience

Requirements:

• Driver's license / good driver
• US Citizen or Green Card

 
REQUIRED

• Fluent in Mandarin 
• Experience teaching Mandarin
• Experience with older children

 
Schedule:

• Wed - Friday: After school until bedtime (available during the day or stay overnight as needed)
• Saturday: 6pm until bedtime (flexibility to stay overnight when needed) 
• Sunday: 8am - 2pm with flexibility until 6pm (flexibility to stay overnight when needed) 
• Flexibility for travel and overnight
