After-School Nanny / Family Assistant - Upper East Side
A busy family on the Upper East Side is seeking a reliable and proactive After-School Nanny/Family Assistant to support their three children (ages 5, 7, and 8 months). This role is primarily focused on caring for and managing the school-aged children in the afternoons, with additional light housekeeping and household management duties. The family has a separate nanny dedicated to the baby, so your main responsibility will be with the older children.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
 
Responsibilities include:
Childcare (Primary Focus)
 

• School pick-up, shuttling to and from activities, and managing daily transitions
• Organizing children's schedules, school bags, and activity gear
• Supervising play and engaging in age-appropriate activities
• Assisting with homework and school projects
• Helping with basic after-school snacks or simple meal prep for the children

 
 
Family Assistant / Household Support (Secondary Focus)
 

• Running errands for the family (groceries, dry cleaning, pharmacy, etc.)
• Ordering household and children's essentials and keeping supplies stocked
• Accepting and organizing deliveries
• Light housekeeping (tidying, organizing supplies, loading/unloading dishwasher, light laundry)
• Helping prepare for occasional family gatherings or small events in the home

 
 
Ideal Candidate:
 

• Experience caring for school-aged children in a similar role
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate needs
• Comfortable navigating the Upper East Side and NYC transportation
• Able to balance childcare with light household support seamlessly
