A warm and loving couple on the Upper East Side is seeking a long-term nanny to care for their baby. They currently have a night nanny supporting them through July 10th. The candidate will begin at the end of June, when the baby will be ~4 months old, and there will be a brief overlap period.

The family seeks a nanny who is:

• Warm, kind, emotionally intelligent, and nurturing; able to set limits/boundaries in a loving and developmental way
• A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership
• Focused on the child’s overall well-being—physical, emotional, and cognitive
• Able to create enriching developmental and educational experiences
• Punctual, dependable, and respectful of the family's routine and values
• Someone who is highly engaged
• Open and honest; comfortable giving and receiving feedback

Key Responsibilities:

• Full care of infant Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate developmental activities
• Support baby’s emotional and physical growth
• Bottle cleaning, restocking supplies, managing baby inventory, light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep
• Organizing playdates and suggesting developmental outings or activities
• Open to feedback and comfortable taking direction from parents
• Strong communication with family
• Helping out with additional household duties and errands is a plus
• Open to staying late on occasion and/or occasional babysitting on weekends is a plus

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with infants and as a nanny; Educational qualifications in childcare and/or child development are a plus
• CPR and first aid certified for infants and older children (non-negotiable)
• Fully vaccinated
• Must hold a valid U.S. passport
• Non-smoker
• Tech-savvy (for baby monitors, scheduling apps, etc.)
• Must love animals (the family has two cats)
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
• Driver’s license is a plus
• Swimming is a plus
• Familiarity with the Upper East Side neighborhood preferred
• Comfortable with travel is a plus
