Nanyima is just a 30 minute drive from Mackay, nestled amongst sugarcane plantations and sugar mills, and is close to beautiful rainforests and national parks.
 
Your Role

We are looking for an experiences and passionate Personal Care Worker working Part-Time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience in providing a person-centered approach to care. You will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.

Duties Include

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

To be successful you will need

• A Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent 
• NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) 
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting
• A passion for delivering a person-centered approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Compassionate and Empathetic nature
