An established and growing construction business is seeking a Trade Qualified Builder (LBP Carpentry) to join its Central Otago / Queenstown team.
This role supports a diverse portfolio of residential construction, renovations, maintenance and insurance reinstatement projects across the region. It offers excellent variety, the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals, and the chance to further develop your skills in project delivery, site assessments and client liaison while contributing to a strong pipeline of work.
Working closely with the Project Manager and Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality building, repair, maintenance and reinstatement works while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Residential building, repair and maintenance work
- Insurance reinstatement projects
- Coordinating site activities, subcontractors, materials and equipment
- Identifying and communicating site issues, risks and variations
- Maintaining strong client relationships and service standards
- Supporting site assessments and scoping activities as required
- Contributing to efficient project delivery across the region
There will be opportunities to broaden your experience beyond site delivery into areas such as:
- Site assessments and damage inspections
- Scoping and estimating support
- Project coordination assistance
- Client and stakeholder liaison

Ideally, you will have:
- Trade Qualification in Carpentry
- Current LBP Licence
- Experience in residential construction and building repairs
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound problem-solving and organisational skills
- Site Safe Passport (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Competent technology and computer skill
