Kennedy Builders is a locally owned and operated construction and restoration company delivering insurance reinstatement, residential renovation and commercial repair projects across the Nelson Tasman region.
 
We are now seeking an experienced Lead Decorator (Working Foreman) to take ownership of our decorating function and play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes across our projects.
 
You are a skilled and motivated decorator who enjoys balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibility.  You'll remain actively involved on the tools while coordinating decorating activities across multiple projects.
 
Working closely with Project Managers and Site Leads, you will:
 

• Deliver high-quality painting, plastering, wallpapering and decorating work
• Coordinate decorating resources and workflow across projects
• Plan workloads, materials and site requirements
• Ensure work is completed to programme and company standards
• Monitor quality, identify defects and ensure corrective action
• Support, coach and develop decorators and apprentices
• Communicate progress, risks and timelines clearly
• Contribute to a positive team culture and strong customer experience
