FYR-TEK in Gothenburg is looking for a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join the team! The ideal candidate is proficient in welding, skilled in measuring and fitting, and has a strong attention to detail! They will be cutting, fabricating and welding on custom-built fire and rescue trucks.
 
FYR-TEK offers a clean, temperature-controlled shop and team-focused atmosphere. This position would be perfect for someone who enjoys a variety of job tasks, can multi-task efficiently and takes pride in their high-quality craftsmanship.
 
Welder and Fabricator Compensation & Benefits:

• $22-$25 per hour, based on experience

Welder and Fabricator Job Duties:

• Perform MIG/TIG Welding on aluminum, steel and stainless-steel components
• Ability to operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders and other fabricating tools
• Must be skilled in material layout, using a tape measure and metal preparation
• Fabricate parts from drawings and work orders
• Thread, fit and assemble pipe for pump systems
• Component mounting and general assembly
• Install control panel switches and junction boxes
• Ability to follow written and verbal work orders and directions
• Work with other team members to complete work orders in a timely manner
• Track time and parts used in Workforce system

The Welder and Fabricator Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Welder and Fabricator must bring their own welding helmet, welding jacket, and basic set of hand tools. Any specialty tools will be provided.
